Shift Quantum coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this Spring

Independent developers Fishing Cactus and publishers Red Panda Interactive recently announced that mind-bending, noir puzzle platformer Shift Quantum will be releasing this Spring and is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Shift Quantum throws you into a cyber-noir world full of corruption, corporations and some seriously challenging puzzles. Each stage is made up of contrasting black and white sections, using your unique shifting mechanic you’ll need to turn negative areas into handy escape routes. Naturally, progressing further into the corporate-fueled cyber-noir story of corruption will only see these unique puzzles get harder.

We had the pleasure of playing Shift Quantum at EGX last year. Upon finishing the challenging demo I couldn’t help but feel a sense of achievement. On several occasions, I felt like giving up and walking away from the demo but the slick noir design and simplistic mechanics reminded me that success was only around the corner.

The announcement of a release window isn’t too surprising, but the confirmation of what platforms Quantum Shift will be coming to did surprise us. The fact that the console launch will run alongside the PC launch is great to see, and the additional surprise that it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch is even better.

Along with the announcement we were also treated to a new Quantum Shift story trailer (below). Although there hasn’t been a confirmed release date, we do know to expect Quantum Shift to release of PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this Spring. You can add Shift Quantum to you Steam Wishlist now.

Lewis started Indie-Credible in the summer of 2016 after struggling to find a website that justifiably covered indie games. Although he can't deny his love for some AAA games (especially the Final Fantasy series) his true love lies in the indies - people say he plays too many indie games, but we all know that's not possible.
