Cuphead gets a release date!

Finally the wait is over

Since first being revealed back at E3 2014, Cuphead has grown a huge following, no doubt due to the games absolutely stunning visuals and seriously tough looking run and gun gameplay. The wait is finally over, well almost. Cuphead will release as a Microsoft Exclusive on the 29th September.

The news comes during the Xbox E3 2017 Briefing, a show that also saw the reveal of Xbox’s new monstrous console, Xbox One X (previously known as Project Scorpio).  But you’re here to read about Cuphead, so, what is Cuphead?

Cuphead is a true run and gun game with a huge focus on boss battles. The games gorgeous hand drawn visual draw huge inspiration from classic cartoons of the 1930’s, combine this with the unique jazz soundtrack, Disney-like animations, and brutally challenging gameplay and it’s fair to say Cuphead could be a standout title for Xbox this year.

Players can choose to play as either Cuphead or Mugman or with the game featuring co-op, both online and local why not team up with a friend. As you traverse the wonderful watercoloured worlds you’ll acquire new weapons, learn new super moves and discover a ton of hidden secrets, all while you’re trying to work off your debt to the devil.

Cuphead is available to players on 29th September and will receive a performance enhancing patch for the Xbox One X when the console releases on 7th November.

Lewis started Indie-Credible in the summer of 2016 after struggling to find a website that justifiably covered indie games. Although he can't deny his love for some AAA games (especially the Final Fantasy series) his true love lies in the indies - people say he plays too many indie games, but we all know that's not possible.
